Tree Cabling & Support

CABLING INFORMATION

Some trees with codominant stems or multiple leaders can be supported with cabling rather than removed. After an on-site evaluation, we determine whether a tree is a good candidate for structural support. Cabling reduces the load on weak unions and can extend the life of a tree that would otherwise become a hazard.

Tree Pruning & Limbing

ABOUT PRUNING

Selective pruning improves the structure and appearance of your trees without removing them entirely. We remove dead, broken, or crossing limbs, lift canopies for clearance, thin for light and airflow, and shape ornamental and fruit trees. Roof and structure clearance is a common request we handle as part of this service.

What We Do

Practical Tree Work, Done Right

Tree work varies widely from one property to the next. The right approach depends on the size of the tree, how close it sits to structures or septic systems, what access the site allows, and what condition the tree is in. That is why Pine & Ponder starts every project with an on-site evaluation before any work begins. Owner Skyler Smith performs much of the climbing himself, so you are getting a hands-on operator, not just a crew dispatcher. Whether you need a single hazardous tree removed or a full round of pruning across your property, we plan each job carefully and leave the site clean.

Tree Removal

We handle full-scale tree removal for trees of all sizes, including those near structures, fences, driveways, and septic systems. Rigging and controlled lowering are used when a straight fell is not an option. Cleanup scope is agreed upon before the job starts, and suitable material can be left on site or hauled away depending on your preference.

View Clearance

Bainbridge Island and the surrounding Kitsap County area offer some genuinely beautiful sightlines, and overgrown trees can block them entirely. We perform selective limb and branch removal to open up water, mountain, or yard views and bring more natural light into your home or outdoor space, without taking down trees you want to keep.

Tight-Quarter Rigging

Some properties on Bainbridge Island and across Kitsap County do not give a crew room to simply fell a tree. Tight-quarter rigging uses controlled climbing and lowering techniques to bring material down in sections, protecting structures, fencing, gardens, and neighboring property throughout the process.

Storm Damage Cleanup

After a storm moves through, fallen trees, downed limbs, and material under tension can leave a property unsafe and difficult to use. We assess what came down, work through debris carefully, and clear the site. Storm cleanup often involves the same rigging and removal skills as planned tree work, just applied to unexpected conditions.
